Bottom Line:
No wonder Yumble boasts over 25,000 5-star reviews! We loved the service. I loved the idea of no prep. The most thought that goes into a meal is “which tasty delight should I serve tonight?” I should point out that I did taste every single meal. I took a meal a day to work for 5 days so that I could honestly review the meals and not rely solely on my son’s taste buds.
My son loves food and he enjoyed his Yumble meals but had two concerns. He is a finicky tween and thought the meals were too “babyish” for him. He was not a fan of the colorful plate you get as a one of your free gifts. I wound up taking the meals out of the packaging and serving them on our own dinnerware. Secondly he felt that he still a bit hungry after he finished each meal. It was easy to supplement the meals for him with an additional side. There were nights where I didn’t tell him the meals were Yumble. I totally took credit for the fan favorite Mac n Trees!
Our Suggestions :
I see a path to future business for Yumble by marketing meals to tweens. Bigger portions, slightly different packaging and a new market is born. My family will be the first in line to sign up…. including our dog. As Ginger can attest, the box is a fun spot to play when you are waiting for a few crumbs to drop.
