What is Decora Kei?:
Decora Kei is a subculture of Japanese fashion. It is a playful way of expressing oneself through the use of bright colors and accessories. The name “decora” comes from the Japanese word for “decoration”. It refers to the style’s distinct use of many decorations and accessories including band-aids with colorful patterns on the bridge of the nose as well as ribbons, clips, and bows in the hair. The style is inspired by cartoon characters from the ’80’s and present day kids are here for it.
