The illustrations are adorable and the additional activities will keep your little unicorn lover busy for hours and then they can start all over another day.
- Color & Cut Masks- Unicorns- 32 pages (Ages 3+) $7.99 10 magical unicorn masks that are easy to color, cut and create. I’m smitten with Rainbow:
- Trace & Learn Unicorn Handwriting Practice– 8- pages (Ages 3+) $9.99. Handwriting practice has never been this fun. Even Bart Simpson wouldn’t mind writing his letters if it was in this book and not the chalk board.
Middle Grade-YA Books:
Disney has some fantastic Middle Grade and Young Adult books out right now. These books are adventurous and escapist for tweens who have been stuck home for a year and are itching for a little adventure. It was Hard to narrow down the list to fit in this guide but here are two of my current favorites:
- Disney Chills: Second Star To The Fright– by Vera Strange (Ages 8-12) $6.99. This is the third book in the Disney Chills series. The tale of an 11 year old who never wants to grow old and stumbles upon Captain Hook is a chilling read. It will thrill the tween who is just dipping their toes into more grown up, compelling stories.
- City Of Villains by Estelle Laure– 240 pages (Ages 14+) $17.99 This edgy series reimagines the origins of dastardly Disney Villains such as Maleficent and Captain Hook. Dark and intriguing this is Disney for teens that have outgrown the Princess tales.
Ravensburger Puzzles-
- Ravensburger Puzzles are always a crowd pleaser. The “At the dog park” 500 large piece, large format puzzle is easy for little fingers to handle and full of dogs of every variety. It is a fun family activity but you may get non stop requests for a pet after staring at all the cute pups. $17.99. Recommended for ages 12+ but with adult supervisions youngsters can be guided.
Easter and spring are a time of renewal. No matter what you choose to put in your baskets this year take time to enjoy the outdoors. Sounds corny but take the time to smell the roses with the kids and the opportunity to reset after a long hard winter…or year in this case.
