Glowberry Bears are a colorful group of bears that are ready to delight the masses with their new book. Glowberry’s live underneath the “shimmering twirls” of the Northern Lights and you can read all about their magical village in The Legend of Little Glow. The Legend of Little Glow written by RC McKenzie takes us on an adventure to Glowberry Island which is up near the North Pole but under the colorful terrain of the Northern Lights. The Glowberry have magical “light” powers that help them fight darkness and sneaky creatures called the snorts.

Kid’ Review:

Training is over and a group of young Glowberry Bears are ready to “graduate”. It’s time for Mighty Bright to pick protectors for the Tree of Light. The entire village is getting ready to celebrate. But one bear, named Little Glow, is worried he might not be chosen!  Little Glow can’t figure out what his special power is. The story takes us on a magical adventure of self discovery with Little Glow and his friends and relatives including Glimmer, Twinkles, Twinkleton, Dusty McStardust, and Summer Lightly.

Each Glowberry has a unique power and personality that celebrates creativity and imagination, When the dangerous Snorts decide to spoil the day by draining the Glowberries of light, the bears pull together as a team to try to defeat the sneaky critters. Did Little Grow finally find his magical power?  I’ll never spoil the ending of a book so you will have to read all about Little Grow for yourself. But I promise that once you go on a journey to Glowberry Island and meet these special bears you are going to want to return again and again. Luckily for us there is a tv show and hopefully many more books in the works.
