Happy 30th Birthday To The Simpsons
The Simpsons is celebrating a big milestone. The 30th anniversary of everyone’s favorite dysfunctional family has arrived!
Can you believe it has been 30 years since “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” premiered on December 17, 1989? Well “D’oh” time sure flies! The episode was nominated for two Emmy awards in 1990 for its first season. Who could imagine that the show that actually began as a series of “shorts” on the Tracey Ullman Show in 1987 would last 30 years?

In celebration I am going to kick back, grab a cold one and the biggest Homer fan I know (Mr. Congeniality) and check out Episode #1 “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” on Disney+. After all it’s a big occasion and Tis’ The Season. Anyone who doesn’t like it can “Eat my shorts!”
