Have you heard the fun news?  Lin- Manuel Miranda is going to star in Duck Tales!

Lin-Manuel will be premiering on the series as Gizmoduck on Friday May 11th at 8:00pm, EDT. Lin-Manuel’s appearance will be part of the first ever “Duck Week” on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.

I grew up watching Duck Tales and I became nostalgic reading this quote from Lin-Manuel: “I’m really excited that a new generation of kids will be growing up with ‘DuckTales.’ As a huge fan of the original series, I love that I can share this new version with my sons.”

Miranda voices Duckburg’s hero Gizmoduck aka Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera. Miranda’s debut episode is titled “Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System!”

Duck Week is coming!

Disney Channel’s first-ever “Duck Week” takes flight on SUNDAY, MAY 6!  Look out for partnerships with ESPN, Disney Studios, Parks and Resorts, and ABC Television.  A fun Duck Tales product line will be available at the Disney store and shopDisney.  A special Snapchat lens is also on tap.

Our favorite partnership is a special PSA celebrating diverse families as part of Disney|ABC Television’s annual Foster Care Awareness campaign with FosterMore.

In addition, an array of book titles from Disney Press are set to hit the shelves this summer. Comic books, graphic novels and a brand new toy line from PhatMojo will also be available exclusively at Target.

On June 5, Disney Studios will release “DuckTales: Destination Adventure!,” an episode compilation DVD with two bonus classic “DuckTales” episodes released for the first time ever on DVD.

The Emmy® Award-nominated series is now airing daily on Disney Channel.  New episodes will premiere every Friday in May with additional debuts throughout the summer.
