Love Life fans it is time to get excited because seasons one and two are now available to stream.

In this rom-com/drama anthology series,Season One follows Darby Carter, played by Anna Kendrick and the relationships that define her life over the course of a decade. From her first romance to her last, the series explores relationships from the butterflies to the heartbreaks and everything in-between as she tries to find “the one” in the Big Apple.

Season One Synopsis:

This romantic comedy series follows Darby Carter (Anna Kendrick) across her twenties as she navigates work and romance in New York City.  We first meet Darby in 2012 as an NYU grad living with three roommates. There’s her impulsive best friend Sara (Zoë Chao), Sara’s easy-going boyfriend Jim (Peter Vack), and brutally-honest friend Mallory (Sasha Compère). Following Darby over the next several years, “Love Life” shows how each of Darby’s encounters brings her closer to finding her “person” even if she doesn’t know it.

Love Life Season Two:

The second season of “Love Life” begins at Darby’s wedding and follows the journey of mild-mannered book editor Marcus Watkins (William Jackson Harper). Forced to re-enter the dating world coming out of a divorce, Marcus starts from scratch in his pursuit to find love. Harper was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his performance.

Showcasing all the humor and heartbreak that comes with the search for love, this series follows interconnected millennials as they chart unexpected paths towards finding their soulmates. Season two sees Darby’s acquaintance, Marcus forced to rebuild his life after his marriage implodes. Set in New York City and spanning the course of several years, each installment finds our protagonists learning that every relationship brings them closer to their soul mate even if they don’t know it yet.

KID’s Review:

I love Anna Kendrick and looked forward to spending time with her in this half hour comedy,  Kendrick’s real talent is that she always comes across as believable and someone we can all be friends with.  However, in this series season two really piqued the interest. The series got even better as it progressed. I loved the drama of Marcus’ struggles with his identity as a bookish man, I wish Max had not canceled “Love Life” before a third season but I am happy I was able to stream the two seasons. Meeting Darby, Marcus and friends was like a quick rewind through a defining time in my own life. Its always a pleasure to sit back and relive the good old days, especially when the trials and tribulations are not your own.
