Medieval Times is a live-action dinner show set inside a European-style castle. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re transported into a world of royalty, rivalry, and roaring crowds. There’s cheering. There’s booing. There are swords, flag waving, dramatic music, and enough energy in the arena to make you forget you’re in modern times.
Most people think of Medieval Times as solely a family spot but trust me when I tell you adults will have a great time at this hot spot because you’ll see
- Falconry
-
Knights jousting on horseback

Majestic horses performing showing off their talents
And yes… you’ll enjoy a four-course feast with your hands. No utensils. Very medieval and very delicious.

The Experience:
Doors open an hour before showtime, and I recommend getting there on time to enjoy the vibe. Each tournament is two hours but there is plenty of fun to be had before the games even begin.

-
Souvenir stands with light-up swords, wooden shields, princess crowns, royal jewels, cool t-shirts and much more.

After check-in, you’re assigned a color-coded knight to support. There are six knights, each representing a different section of the arena. We were seated in the red section and given red crowns. From that moment on we proudly and dare I say loudly rooted for the Red Knight. Seating is assigned by section, but you can opt for premium sections with early arena access by purchasing a VIP package (for an additional fee).

The Show:
Let’s talk about the real magic.
The Royal Court:
The Queen presides over the tournament from above, welcoming each knight into the arena with dramatic flair. The Chancellor guides the evening with humor and storytelling throughout.
Falconry:
A falcon flies at incredible speed around the arena.
The Horses:
The Spanish horses are majestic creatures. They prance, dance, gallop, and perform intricate maneuvers with ease. The horses look well taken care of. As an animal lover this is important to me.
The Competitions:
Knights compete in non violent, non bloody competitions.
-
Target games
-
Jousting (YES, real jousting!)
