The Wiggles, the world’s most successful children’s entertainment group marks a major milestone in the group’s 35-year history. The strategic agreement is set to expand The Wiggles’ global reach through new music releases, digital content, and international marketing campaigns. Under the partnership, Universal Music Australia will lead efforts to amplify The Wiggles’ presence worldwide, supported by UMG’s global network across streaming, digital platforms, and physical distribution. In the United States, releases will be handled by Republic Records: Kids & Family, positioning the beloved group for continued growth in one of their strongest markets.

A Longstanding Connection with American Families

The Wiggles’ success in the United States dates back to the early 2000s, when their television specials and home videos gained traction on Playhouse Disney. Their 2001 U.S. tour, held just weeks after September 11, created a meaningful bond with American families.

In 2002, the release of Wiggly Safari—featuring Steve Irwin, Terri, and Bindi Irwin—further expanded their popularity. By 2003, The Wiggles made history with 12 consecutive sold-out performances at Madison Square Garden, and November 1 was officially declared “Wiggles Day” in New York City.

Wiggles: A Global Children’s Music Phenomenon

Since forming in 1991, The Wiggles have sold more than 30 million albums and DVDs, amassed 4 billion global music streams, 6 billion YouTube views and surpassed 10 million YouTube subscribers. They have also been named Australia’s #1 Local Artist on Spotify for three consecutive years (2023–2025).
