The Yinka Ilori Carousel Blooms at Bloomingdale’s

Step into joy with Yinka Ilori.

If you’re looking for a little extra magic in your day, head straight to Bloomingdale’s  flagship store in New York City because something truly joyful is happening there right now.

During a recent stroll through the store, I was instantly drawn into The Carousel @ Bloomingdale’s, The Carousel has been transformed into a vibrant, immersive installation by London-based multidisciplinary artist Yinka Ilori. Known as an “Ambassador of Joy,” Ilori has reimagined Bloomingdale’s as a whimsical garden. It’s bursting with color, creativity, and playful energy. What a perfect treat for any kidult (like me!) who still believes in wonder!

A Bloomingdale’s Experience Like No Other:

The moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by bold patterns, uplifting design, and an infectious sense of happiness. The space invites you to play, explore, and just imagine. Several fun interactive elements include ping pong tables, Sony PlayStation stations, and plenty of colorful spots to take in the vibrant scene.

It’s not just shopping — it’s a mood-lifting experience that brings art, play, and design together in one unforgettable Bloomingdale’s moment.

A Personal Touch of Joy:

A special shout-out to Therese, the amazing sales associate who made my short visit even brighter. (I hope I’m spelling her name right!) Her warmth added that personal touch that makes Bloomingdale’s feel like more than a store — it’s a destination.

Don’t Miss It — Through October 2025:

If you’re in New York City, this is your chance to experience The Yinka Ilori Carousel at Bloomingdale’s before it’s gone. The installation runs through the end of October 2025, so make time to visit, take a few photos, and embrace a bit of joy in the everyday.

After all, as Yinka Ilori reminds us — sometimes, all you need to do is just imagine.
