Treasure Trackers Synopsis:

The film follows California tween Leah as she relocates to the small town of Carterviille. There, Leah befriends fellow misfits Marshy and Tessa and the new friends embark on an adventure to track down the town’s mythic treasure.  When the trio uncovers the truth behind the treasure’s Halloween curse, they must outsmart the town troublemakers before an evil spirit is accidentally released.

Treasure Trackers follows the adventure of three middle schoolers who team up to find a mythic treasure. The story begins as Leah Weaver’s dad drops her off to temporarily stay with her Aunt and Uncle in their small town, Leah has trouble fitting in at her new middle school until she befriends Tessa and Marshy. During a stint in detention, the trio become intrigued by the mysterious legend of the town founder Silas Carter and a treasure hunt begins. But, there is much more to the legend than meets the eye. Adventure and a little danger ensue!

Legend has it that the “Raven Witch” has cursed the gold bars and they still possess Carter’s trapped soul. Whoever finds the gold risks releasing Carter’s wicked spirit. Meanwhile, the local bully Rhett Perry, and his older high school friends are also hunting for the gold. A race to solve the clues left behind by Carter ensues. Leah and friends must destroy the cursed gold and prevent their rivals from releasing Carter’s evil spirit on the world on All Hallows Eve. Does the trio succeed?  No spoilers here because I know you will want to enjoy this adventure for yourself.

Treasure Trackers is a fun family film that all will enjoy. There are enough spooky element and intrigue to keep adventurous tweens interested and on the edge of their seats. This is a story of friendship, belonging and the sense of adventure.
