8-Bit Christmas is a movie that the whole family can enjoy together just in time for the holidays. It’s a humorous look back at the adventures and antics of childhood. Set in suburban Chicago in the late 1980s, the story centers on ten-year-old Jake Doyle’s quest to get the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas. That’s right…the elusive NES ! Also known as the Nintendo Entertainment System for those of you who aren’t 80’s brats or gamers.

I seriously caught a wave of GEN-X nostalgia while watching the trailer. I remember those early days of video game madness and the joy playing each new, exciting game.  Ahhh the good old days. Check out the trailer because well.. Neil Patrick Harris!  He is so relatable in this film.
