I don’t know about you but I’d jump at the chance to go to camp for a week. Netflix’s new musical film A Week Away follows troubled teen Will Hawkins as he must choose  between going away to a christian summer camp or juvenile detention.

Troubled teen Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) has a run in with the law that leaves him with a choice to make – go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. Will this fish out of water find a sense of belonging amongst his new friends at camp? Follow the uplifting journey as Will learns that the healing powers of kindness, forgiveness, and faith can be found in the most unlikely of places.

A Week Away features songs from some of the biggest hits in Contemporary Christian Music history.  The film’s music producer, Adam Watts (High School Musical 3, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert), has penned three new original songs for the film.  Powell and Cory Clark also worked closely with Watts in writing and producing the music. The original score was created by Benjamin Backus.

Netflix’s first musical film of its kind starts streaming on March 26th.  The fun film joins Netflix’s growing slate of live action family films featuring kids and teens including Finding Ohana and YES DAY.
