Bjorn the Last Unicorn from Pencilish Animation Studios is streaming just in time for National Unicorn Day!

Pencilish Animation Studios is a virtual animation studio started in 2020 by CEO Tom Bancroft. Bancroft has over 30 years of animation experience. Over his career he created iconic characters such as Pocahontas (Pocahontas), Simba (Lion King), and Mushu (Mulan). His team of veteran animators hail from Disney, WB, Sony (and more !) The talented animation veterans are on a mission to create a unique, original library of animated fare for all to enjoy. Ming-Na Wen, (the voice of Mulan and Fennec in The Mandalorian) rounds out the impressive team as is an advisory board member.

Pencilish is the first ever animation studio to be crowd-owned. In a daring and revolutionary spirit, Pencilish avoided big investment groups and crowd funded with true animation lovers.  I’d say the animation revolution is now in full swing.

National Unicorn Day:

The unicorn is mythological animal resembling a horse with a single horn on its forehead. The unicorn appeared in early Mesopotamian artwork and is referenced in the ancient myths of India and China. The Unicorn is a symbol of happiness. It is an icon of childhood joy and fantasy.  It brings to mind color, magic and wonder. National Unicorn Day is a chance to express some unicorn love, so show some color along with imagination and watch Bjorn the Last Unicorn today!
