Game Night 2021 Gift Guide

Game Night is a family tradition that is here to stay. It doesn’t matter how many flashy electronics we own. Sitting around the table arguing about rules with the kids is the stuff that memories are made of.

My family’s been testing out games (and accusing each other of bending the rules) throughout the year. It is our pleasure to bring you this fun filled gift guide.  I’ve included links so that you can shop the list effortlessly.  Whether you are looking for holiday gifts or for picks to mix up your Saturday nights, sit back and pick a few winners fro our list!

Family Game Night Gift Guide 2021:

Games To Play With Younger Kids

Mad Tea Party- Funko Games- Ages 5+- Hurry and get on board or you’ll be late to this wild tea party.  Stack the teacups once you play your card but watch out…don’t let the tea cups fall.

Exploding Minions-  A Game by Exploding Kittens- Ages 7+- If you love Exploding Kittens and are into bananas explosions, and flaming unicorns this game is for you. You’ll enjoy a laugh and have  a “blast” channeling minion antics in this fun, silly game!

Something Wild- Funko Games- Ages 6+- Be the first player to score 3 power cards and win! Or…because the included POP Figure is so cute (Just look at Grogu!) you can collect sets of multiple characters. These mini po figures are sure to liven up your display shelf!

Disney Mickey and the Beanstalk- Funk Games- Ages 4+-This beautifully crafted game has your character actually spin down the beanstalk but first you have to sneak across the Giant’s table, grab some food and rescue the Golden Harp.  Easier said than done! This game is a fun adventurous challenge for the younger family members.

Throw Throw Avocado- A Game by Exploding Kittens- Ages 7+- If you love Throw Throw Burrito (the first dodgeball card game) get your throwing arm ready because the follow up game is here! Clear some space and put away the glass, because its gonna get nuts… well avocados! Collect matching sets of cards faster than your opponents while simultaneously ducking, dodging and throwing squishy airborne avocados.

Tweens and Up:

5 Second Rule 10th Anniversary Edition- Play Monster-  Ages 10+ – The classic fast speed game updated to include 50 new questions relevant to the last decade.

Villainous: Marvel Villainous Mischief & Mallace- Ravensberger- Ages 12+- The First Marvel Villainous Expansion game. Play the role of a smooth yet dastardly Marvel Villain and work towards a unique objective…fighting off iconic Marvel Heroes!

Know Nine?- Ginger Fox- Ages 12+ – The object is to link all the words on the grid with each description to come up with 9 answers! But the catch is you only have one minute! My palms are sweaty just thinking about playing. You have to think fast and be persuasive because your competitors decide if your answers count.

25 Words or Less- USAOPOLY-  Ages 10+- A fast-paced game based on the hit TV game show, two clue-givers bet on how few words they’ll need to have their teammates guess 5 answers. The lowest bidder must beat the challenge within their limited clues–and time!

Marvel FUNKOVERSE Strategy Game- Funko Games- Ages 10+- If your family is anything like mine, first you’ll have to battle amongst yourselves to pick your character,  Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther or Iron Man are all assembled for your family game night. The game can be a little confusing for younger tweens but with parental guidance they’ll get the hang of it. Love the cool game expansions available (Thanos!) and the fact that you can mix and match Funkoverse versions for exciting play.
