Madame Alexander Dolls Celebrates Centennial At FAO Schwarz

Madame Alexander Doll Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary throughout March at FAO Schwarz!! The celebration kicked off with a fun in store experience on March 9th, but the celebration continues. You can join the celebration all month long.

As a lifelong doll collector I wouldn’t miss this  event for anything. I hope you enjoy my photos from the exclusive event below but I encourage you to make a trip to FAO Schwarz to experience the wonder yourself.

The History:

Why the excitement over this iconic pairing? Its historic! Madame Beatrice Alexander founded the company in 1923. She took some of her earliest cloth dolls to FAO Schwarz and followed up with formed felt dolls, composition dolls, and then her innovative early plastic dolls. She revolutionized the doll industry and as they say, the rest is history!  FAO Schwarz placed one of the new company’s first order and they became long time trusted partners. Throughout the company’s history, Madame Alexander dolls have always been the premier American doll brand at FAO Schwarz. You can read more of the fascinating  doll history here.

The Centennial Celebration:
