The Trailer:

No Spoiler Review:

Timothée Chalamet is a sweet treat as Willy Wonka. Chalamet is a charming delight to watch on the big screen. Chalamet brings something for everyone as the wide eyed wonder Wonka.. Youngsters will love his whimsy while the teen set will absolutely swoon over his smooth dance moves. Parents will certainly feel the tug of nostalgia as the quirky candy man sings “Pure Imagination” popularized by Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.  I had to dry a tear or two during this scene. The musical numbers are superb. I am a sucker for nostalgia and this film brings the sugar with the clever songs and of course the infamous Oompa Loompa song.

The graphics are fun, especially the animal sequences (No spoilers! You’ll have to watch the film). I’d have liked to see a little more Roald Dahl edginess in the film but it looks like King was going for more sweet than spicy in this production. Stay for the credit scene it is “HUGH” fun! Wonka left me wanting more, kind of like chocolate. You know you’ve probably had enough but you just can’t resist the delight.
