First Lady Dr. Jill Biden Teams Up With DC Superheroes

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is teaming up with our favorite superheroes!

The First Lady, along with the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy visited a pediatric COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston’s Medical Center on Sunday November 14th. Knowing that needles and hospitals can seem scary to children, Dr. Jill Bide also had Wonder Woman and Superman on hand to support children receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

WarnerMedia & DC Collaborates with the Biden-Harris Administration and Children’s Hospital Association:

DC’s iconic Super Heroes are supporting childhood COVID-19 vaccinations. The collaboration between WarnerMedia and the Biden-Harris Administration will be ongoing. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and more will be part of the fun because every child needs a champion. Kids who receive their COVID-19 vaccination at a Children’s Hospital clinic in November or December will also receive super swag! Giveaways include bandages featuring DC Comics characters, as well as coloring and activity books.

WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences President Pam Lifford sums it up nicely. “The DC Super Heroes have been symbols of hope, strength, and wonder to children of all ages for over 80 years,” “We are truly honored to be supporting the real life heroic work at Children’s Hospitals to promote childhood vaccinations against COVID-19.”

WarnerMedia has worked with Biden-Harris Administration, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the CDC on multiple COVID-19 awareness and education campaigns since the onset of the pandemic. WarnerMedia initially created the Mask Up America campaign in partnership with The Ad Council to support CDC guidelines about wearing a mask to protect ourselves and others.

WarnerMedia also created an additional series of PSAs to showcase talent across sports, news, and studio networks and productions back on-set as a result of the COVID-19 vaccines. This campaign, ‘Getting There‘ in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to promotes vaccinations among hesitant communities. The PSAs ran across WarnerMedia owned cable, streaming, and social platforms along with The Ad Council’s platforms.
